Hit ‘em with the bio. Katie Novotny has the self-depreciating humor of a Midwestern tomboy. She doesn't shy away from her Catholic upbringing, her gyno appointments, and her mental health. But she is afraid to talk about sex –mainly cause she rarely has it. She’s been an official performer in Cleveland’s Comedy Festival, Portland Maine’s Comedy Festival, Alaska’s B4UDie Festival, Amsterdam’s Boom Chicago Comedy Festival, HBO’s Women in Comedy Festival, San Diego Comedy Festival, and Ladies of Laughter Festival. She trained at Second City and iO in improv and sketch comedy, produced two award-winning webseries (Guilty and Wellness Check), and her pilot scripts have landed her as a semi-finalist in Slamdance and Screencraft. She dreams of using her arthritic knees to become an influencer for Bengay
What’s your act like? Using a fun blend of storytelling and quick punches, she’ll tell you the most embarrassing stories about her wild Catholic upbringing, her dating drought of 13 years, her dads love of Fox News. She writes at the height of her intelligence and expects the audience to be along for the ride with her. You won't hear her talk about crazy wild sexcapdes, but you will hear stories of how uncomfortable she is in her own skin. If you pay attention you know exactly where she stands politically, but writes her jokes in a way that unifies rather than divides.
